TRIP TO BURGOS

Last week I went to Burgos with the Travelling Schools Project, we went there by train.

When we arrived they put us in our rooms, I slept with Katia, Natalia and Jennifer. The monitors were called Ana and Juan Fran. We met children from Alicante and Ciudad Real, there.

We stayed at the residence of Santa María la Mayor. In the residence there were rooms for the free time, I liked the games room and the court yard.

Each day we went on excursions, I liked Atapuerca, because they taught us how to do fire crashing two rocks or with sticks.

We visited many places: Frías, MEH (Human Evolution Museum), Campofrío, Atapuerca, La Catedral, el desfiladero de Yecla, El Camino de Santigo,etc.

I met six nice girls. I didn't like the food.But I enjoyed a lot.

We are the students and the tutor from La Cerollera.

SKI AT VALDELINARES

From 13th to 18th February we went to ski. We arrived on Sunday but we started to ski on Monday. In the youth hostel there were four teachers. I was in the group that we didn't know how to ski yet. We ate at the slopes and we had dinner at the youth hostel. We went to sleep at eleven o'clock everyday. At the end they gave us a diploma and they recorded us skiing. I enjoyed very much. Next year I'm going to go back.

white week

The last week we went to ski to Valdelinares. We were there from Sunday 13th. to Friday 18th February. In the youth hostel we were one hundred children and eleven teachers. When we arrived at the youth hostel they told us where we were going to sleep. My room was the number 107. The next morning they woke up us at eight o'clock, we had brakfast and we went to the ski slopes. First, they asked us if we know how to ski and afterwards, they said us who were our tehachers. My teacher was Rubén Gil. When we finished the lesson we went to have lunch. The food was delicious. In the afternoon we had a shower and we did an activity.

This week I enjoyed a lot because I was with my friends.

We have been working on a description of Lady Gaga (Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) and we have been loking were she lives. We have found that she lives in Manhattan, New York. We really like how she is, she dances very well but she dresses up really strange. We have done dictacion about her, how she dances, she sings and everything.

Shakira is not tall not short, she is medium-sized. Now she is blonde but she had dark hair. She has got long, curly hair and brown big eyes.

She is beautiful. She dances very well.

I describe Shakira, I like the song of "Waka, Waka".

Shakira full name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll. Her birthday is on the second of February.
She sings pop-rock in Spanish and English. She is singer-songwriter. She plays the guitar, the drums and the harmonica and she dances brilliantly. The name of Shakira in Arab means “grateful”.

AMERICAN TRADITION: THANKSGIVING DAY

American Thanksgiving
is celebrated on the 4th Thursday of November.

The custom of celebrating Thanksgiving, an annual celebration held after the harvest began around 1621 when the Pilgrims fulfilled a successful and bountiful harvest in the New World.

In 1863 President Abraham Lincoln appointed a national day of thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Day in America is a time to offer thanks, of family gatherings and holiday meals. A time of turkeys, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. A time for Indian corn, holiday parades and giant balloons.

FELIZ DÍA DE ACCIÓN DE GRACIAS (THANKSGIVING DAY)

Hoy en la clase de inglés se ha trabajado en este día tan especial para los americanos.

Hemos visto un power point, por supuesto en inglés,

sobre la historia del día de Acción de gracias y después hemos hecho un concurso,

donde había preguntas sobre lo que habíamos visto y oído.

Hemos acertado todo.

Los de 3º y 4º hemos hecho una ficha,

teníamos que señalar la comida típica de la cena de thanksgiving

y después hemos hecho un pavo muy gracioso.

Los de 5º y 6º también hemos hecho el pavo y ¡ menudo jaleo se ha montado en clase !

BOO! October 31st is just round the corner

and although

we don´t have class this day,

we're going to work on this during the days before.

Yesterday, we learnt Trick or Treat rap.

It was fun!

But we didn´t receive candies

Today we played a game called The Monster Game.

Os vamos a contar en qué consiste este juego.

Lo primero que hemos hecho es hacer tres grupos de 5 personas más o menos.

Después, la teacher nos ha repartido un papel grande en blanco

y hemos dibujado la cabeza,sin eyes, nose, o ears y el tronco de un monster.

Hemos elegido el color de las fichas y tirábamos un dado en un tablero hecho por la teacher.

En cada casilla había una instrucción para poder dibujar al monster.

Y el primero que llegaba a la última casilla se paraba el juego. Ha estado muy reñido.

Al final nos hemos reído mucho por las grandes obras que han salido.
